Drugstore Haul 2/3/16

Sorry, this post is going to be a little sloppy. I was at CVS yesterday and found that they had really improved the makeup section, so I had to grab some stuff. I can’t really give a review of these things yet but hopefully after using them a bit I can get one up.

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Orange County $6.99

Nyx Lip Suede

I have always wanted to try these Liquid Suede lipsticks but never actually got around to finding them. My ULTA was always sold out of basically all of them, so when I saw some at the drugstore I had to grab one to try out. I grabbed the orange one because I secretly have always wanted to wear orange lipstick at all times. I’ve been wanting to try the Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in A Go Go but I’m not gonna spend $20 on a color I might hate on myself. I don’t know much about the formula for these so I will test it out and let y’all know what I think.

NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Ruffle Trim and Honeymoon $6.99

Lip Lingerie

So NYX just released these, and they are all in the same mauvey, greyish color family. I grabbed two of the most interesting looking ones to try out. I am really excited to try these out. People really haven’t talked about the formula much so I’m going into it without any preconceived ideas about quality.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Normal to Dry Skin $12.99

I COULD CRY. This is my all time favorite foundation and my ONE complaint was that it had no pump. Now this foundation is perfection. No review needed, just know I cannot do my makeup without this stuff.

NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Espresso $9.99

A month or so ago I bought one of these in the only color not sold out, and it ended up pulling way too red on me. I bought this one in espresso and its a perfect match for my brows. Very ashy and dark. This is a great dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz.

Loreal Brow Stylist Plumper Brow Gel Mascara in Medium/Dark $9.99

I’ve had this for one day and I’m already in love. It is such a perfect, ashy brow gel. It fills in my sparse spots and keeps the hairs in place perfectly. I love sharpening up my tail with a pencil and then going over it all with this stuff.

Essie Nail Polish in Butler, Please! $8.50

I have always loved this color whenever I see it on someone else. It is such a brilliant, bright true blue. I can’t wait to do my nails today. I am not a huge fan of the essie formula but once it’s on evenly it tends to last a while.

NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette $24.99

This is the thing I am most excited about by far. I have heard people talking about this for a while and I never saw it anywhere! I am a sucker for contour kits. My roommate brings me into her room every time she goes out just so I can use my fancy contour kit on her face. This kit includes two things that every one should have: a banana color and a cool, ashy brown. This may seem expensive for a drugstore palette, but you have to realize that it contains 8 pans of different face powders. It would be like buying 4 bronzers, 2 face powders and 2 highlights. So far I really love the yellow powder for under my eyes. I can’t wait to really work with this and see how long it lasts on my face.

Let me know what you’ve recently bought from the drugstore! Thanks for reading!!

Glowingly yours,
