Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette $54.00

I grabbed this palette during the fall VIB Rouge Sephora sale because everything was 15% off and without the discount I couldn’t justify the price. I bought the Naked 3 a while back and was super disappointed, it wasn’t pigmented at all, it was like pouring glitter directly onto my face with no color payoff underneath. This was overall a much better experience. I have very few cool toned palettes, and this is now my favorite. The shadows are very pigmented and blendable, and there are so many different looks you can put together from all the shades.

Top to bottom: High, Dirty Sweet, Radar

High: “champagne shimmer with micro glitter” This color is crazy pigmented. One swipe and my eye is metallic for hours. I like using this as an inner corner highlight.

Dirty Sweet: “medium bronze” This is a classic bronzy gold. It looks great lightly dusted all over the lid with a deeper brown buffed into the crease.

Radar: “metallic taupe with iridescent micro-glitter” This color can be a little too glittery sometimes, but the glitter is so many different colors it gives such a cool look.

Top to bottom: Armor, Slanted, Dagger

Armor: “metallic silver-taupe with tonal sparkle” This is such a cool color. Its a super cool taupe but the glitter makes it shift almost red in certain light.

Slanted: “light metallic grey” This is the perfect silver in my opinion. I love popping it into the center of my lid to make a smoky grey halo eye.

Dagger: “medium charcoal with micro-shimmer” This is another great color, especially when used with Slanted. It looks almost blue, and grey blues are such a great way to change up the usual smokey eye.

Top to bottom: Black Market, Smolder, Password

Black Market: “jet black satin” While this isn’t exactly pure jet black, it is dark enough to dust on my outer v to deepen up my eye look.

Smolder: “deep plum taupe” This color makes my green eyes stand out like crazy. The glitter tends to fall away which is a little annoying, but the purple it leaves behind is still beautiful.

Password: “cool taupe matte” I love this color so much. It pulls the whole palette together, buffed into the crease it goes with every single shadow in the palette. I don’t think this palette would work so well without this shade.

Top to bottom: Whiskey, Combust, Thirteen

Whiskey: “rich brown matte” Another shade that really pulls everything together. This matte is super creamy and blends stunningly into the crease.

Combust: “soft pink taupe” This is a shade that is super useful but unexciting. It is a great all over setting color for your eyeshadow primer, which is very much needed.

Thirteen: “light beige satin” I never find myself reaching for this color unless its to highlight my brow bone. It comes off a little too chalky, and white shadows always age my eyes too much.

Let me know what looks you have out together using this palette! Thanks for reading!!

Glowingly yours,
