February Ipsy Bag

So I just got this months Ipsy bag in the mail so I figured I would throw together a quick post. I have been subscribed to Ipsy for over a year now and I really love it. Rarely do you get a full size product like with Boxycharm, but it’s great for sampling new stuff.

BFF Best Face Forever Exfoliating Daily Face Wash

What Ipsy says:

“BFF: Best Face Forever Exfoliating Daily Face Wash will make your skin look naturally radiant. It’s packed with natural microbeads to gently exfoliate and freshen your face with a blend of grapefruit and peppermint essential oils. Clear away dry, dead skin in a flash and always put your best face forward.”

I will probably be giving this to one of my roommates just because I already have an exfoliator that I love. My face can get dried out very easily, so it took a while to find the right face scrub and I don’t really want to try anything else.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil

What Ipsy says

“Fall in love with your skin — before you put on makeup — with the first ever primer specially formulated in a lightweight, lustrous oil. This fast-absorbing hero blend of 15 essential and lipid-rich plant oils penetrate instantly to moisturize your face for seamless foundation application with a dewy, youthful finish. In fact, you might think twice before you reach for your makeup.”

I was super excited to see this in my bag! I love Smashbox, and their primers are probably the best thing in their line. I am not a huge oil person just because I tend to get a little shiny, but this feels a lot thinner than a traditional oil. I will probably use this mostly on spots that are looking extra dry and flaky.

Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat

What Ipsy says:

“The ‘Suit of Armor’ for your nails. Instantly achieve strong, healthier-looking natural nails.”

I have already used this and I can honestly say that it’s pretty impressive. I have very bumpy, dull nails but this instantly made them look healthy and strong. I have a few coats of polish over this at the moment and it hasn’t chipped yet which is pretty impressive to me.

Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind Sparkling Lipgloss in Pink Sequin

What Ipsy says:

“This sheer, reflective formula provides luminous shine and sophisticated shimmer. It can be worn alone, over your favorite lipstick or with a lip pencil for a perfectly polished pout.”

As adorable and princessy this lipgloss is, I really don’t see myself using it. I don’t like glitter or sparkles on my lips because they just settle into my lines and get stuck to my teeth. I can’t decide if I am going to hold onto this or give it away. I always feel like as soon as I give away things like this I find myself wanting them back.

Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in Sierra Nevada

What Ipsy says:

“Naked Pigments are 100% oxidized Mica, and do not contain talc, oil, wax or other fillers that can be harmful to your skin. It is 100% color to give you a pure product that is non-allergenic, non-perishable, and simply beautiful.”

This is my favorite thing from the bag this month! It doesn’t really look like much in the swatch, but it gives a stunning shimmer to the lid. I have used just this dusted all over my lid with a little bit of brown liner and mascara. Since it is a loose shadow you need to put down a pretty tacky primer first otherwise you will find glitter all over your face.

Eh, all in all this was an okay bag. Nothing really wowed me, but I do see myself using the Smashbox oil and the Naked shadow in the future. Let me know what you got in your Ipsy bag this month! Thanks for reading!!

Glowingly yours,

Jess
