Etude House Face Blur Primer $18.00
Anything that claims to minimize or blur pores immediately catches my longing, and when I ordered this from Amazon and waited weeks to get it, I expected magic. There was none to be found. This works well as a sunscreen and thats really it. It didn’t do anything to my pores, and ended up making me look greasier after a few hours. I’m not going to throw it out because I paid good money for it, but I will probably only use it when my face is feeling very dry.
Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation $12.99
People rave about this foundation, and I wish I could have loved it like everyone else, but it just clung like crazy to my dry spots. It ended up looking cakey after an hour or so, and flakey around my nose. I will most likely keep this and use it on my forehead when I’m looking shiny.
Loreal Studio Secrets Magic Lumi Highlighting Pen in Fair $12.99
I bought this hoping it would be a great, quick highlight, but all I got was some yellow concealer. This is grossly overpriced and doesn’t really highlight anything. I tried adding it to other concealer under my eyes and it didn’t brighten at all. I wish I hadn’t wasted almost 13 bucks on this thing.
Urban Decay Primer Potion $20.00
I’ve had this little sample for a while now, and I try to use it every now and then because something so popular has to work for me right? Wrong. This dried out my lids like crazy and my eyeshadow looked patchy and weird. I much prefer my MAC Painterly Paint Pot. Maybe it was because of the fact that this is a sample size, if you use this and love it and have dry eyelids let me know. Maybe I will try out the full size to see how it differs.
Wet N Wild Fergie Shimmer Palette in Rose Champagne $12.99
This swatches so beautifully, I hate putting it in the post. I just cannot get it to work for me. It goes on stunningly, but within an hour the sheen has disappeared and all thats left is specks of glitter all over my face. Also the packaging is so bulky and because the top is domed, I cannot store it effectively at all.
Elf Powder Blush Palette $6.00
This kills me, look at how beautiful those colors are! I hate to have to throw this away, but I can’t wear any of these blushes. Each of them caused me to break out the next morning, and I tried all four hoping it was just a mistake. I haven’t heard of anyone else having this problem with these quads but if you have let me know.
Jordana Easyliner Retractable Eye Liner $2.00
I have always heard such good things about Jordana, how cheap yet nice the products are. I love the mascara, and I was hoping the eyeliners would impress me as well. This just doesn’t show up on my eyes at all. I love the color, and it looks fine when watched, but when I try to put this on my waterline, there is no color payoff.
Hikari Cream Pigment Eyeshadow in Mink $13.00
I got this in an Ipsy bag not too long ago, and was so excited because I love cream shadows. This looks like a beautiful color, but when you look closely, you can see just how clumpy this is. After a week it had dried out so much that it barely qualified as a cream shadow anymore.
bh Costmetics Galaxy Chic Eyeshadow Palette $12.00
I bought this on a whim because I loved the idea of it. The colors swatch really nicely, and they look so cool! But the fallout is too much, no matter what primer I use. I won’t be tossing this though because I love how it looks way too much to let go of it.
Let me know what products have been letting you down lately! Thanks for reading!!
Glowingly yours,
Jess
