NARS Powder Blushes $30.00
Everyone knows the classic NARS blush: Orgasm. It was one of the first blushes I ever bought, and I hid it from my mother because the name was just too risque for anyone to see. When I first started getting into makeup, my first thought was to buy that blush. When I finally got around to finding it in a Sephora, I remembered how chunky and glittery it was, so I moved down the line and thought I would check some others out. Here are the three NARS blushes I currently own and love.
Dolce Vita
I bought this blush mostly because I had already fallen in love with everything else from NARS with the name Dolce Vita attached. I was a bit scared when this blush actually arrived though, because it is so dark and pigmented, but I have learned how to work with it. I love using this with a very light hand and a stippling brush during the winter to add to that cold weather flush.
Albatross
This was one of the first highlighters I ever bought. I ordered it after reading a review about it by Robyn on one of my first favorite blogs, Brightest Bulb in the Box: Beauty for Critical Minds. The blog is now sadly no longer updated, but you can still read some of her older stuff. This is very clearly not a blush, and I don’t know why it is called one by whatever, I like it and I use it how I want. This color is such a stunning white/gold shift that looks insane and gorgeous on the cheekbones. It is very easy to go overboard with this though, so use a light hand.
Madly
Admit it. You saw this swatch and thought “wow, that’s an odd, boring shade for a blush.” But I think this might be my most worn blush ever. While it swatches horribly, on the face it gives the perfect, most natural flush. If you aren’t into bright blushes, please go buy this. Trust me, it will change your life. I cannot say enough good things about this blush. Buy it. Now.
Let me know your favorite NARS blushes! Thanks for reading!!
Glowingly yours,
Jess
