I hoard single shadows like my life depends on it, and when it comes to eye shadow from the drugstore, I always prefer the singles to the palettes. There are some really amazing options, so I thought I would do a post on some of my favorite brands and lines. Enjoy!
I really need to pick up more of this Color Riche shadows, because they are amazing. I love this color so much, it is such a stunning silvery teal. I love pairing this with a dark brown or bronze liner and a nude lip.
These Infallible shadows might be my favorite from the drugstore. They are on par with high end brands. This color is such a stunning inner corner and brow bone highlight. These feel almost like loose pigments, but much easier to work with and a lot less fallout.
This is one of my favorite shadows in my whole collection. It is a perfect rose gold that looks like melted metal on the lids. This shade is so crazy pigmented, you really only need one swipe. The best part about this color is that it looks amazing alone or with other shadows. When it comes to single shadows, I really look for colors that can be worn alone.
I have been very much into dark green shadows lately. I think they are so flattering and give a subtle pop of color to the normal smoky eye. I love combining this with Green Promenade, it really makes my green eyes pop.
I have heard people talking about these Prismatic shadows for a while now but never really took the plunge. I bought a NYX eye shadow a while ago and hated it. It was so insanely chalky and patchy, so I kind of wrote off NYX shadows in general. I am so glad I decided to try it out again. This shadow is super pigmented and buttery. I love the slight pink shift in this, it looks really beautiful on the lids.
I will never stop buying skin toned nude matte shadows. Even on days when I don’t wear shadows, I always set my lids with a nude shade to cover up any darkness or puffiness. My holy grail is Bone from Bobbi Brown but that is 25 bucks, so I am always looking for a cheaper dupe. I like this shadow, it is very buttery and doesn’t apply patchy. My only issue with this is that it doesn’t last as long as I’d like it too on my eyes.
As I said before, I am loving greens, and I needed a good matte shade to use in my crease with my more shimmery shades. I absolutely love this color. Something about this seems really unique to me, I don’t have anything close to this in my collection. This blends really beautifully and looks great with a bunch of different shades.
So that’s it for this quick post, I hope you liked it! Let me know your favorite drug store shadows! Thanks for reading!!
