Lately my skin has been dryer than usual, and when it is feeling extra dull and lifeless, I turn to an illuminating primer to help me out. I used to stay away from these because I thought they would accentuate my pores and imperfections, but when used with a pore-filling primer, I don’t have any problems. I have only just started collecting these, and I want to try some more high end ones in the future. Let’s get started!
Loreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer $12.99
This was the first illuminating primer I bought, and I shelved it for so long because I didn’t think it would work for my skin. I was so wrong! This primer makes my skin look hydrated and dewy without looking greasy. My only issue with it though is how expensive it is, when it feels very light and seems like a very small amount of product.
NYX Born To Glow Illuminating Primer $13.99
I just recently picked this up from Ulta, and I have only used it a few times. I already really love it, it reminds me a lot of the Loreal primer, but this one is a little more intense on my skin. I like to use this only on my cheeks, because it can look a little too dewy on my forehead.
Sephora Beauty Amplifier AfterGlow Primer & Luminizer $16.00
This is my favorite of the three, mostly because it isn’t an icy white, but more of a champagne color. I love using this on my cheeks especially, it really makes whatever highlighter I later put on stand out and stay all day. This feels so smooth on the skin and doesn’t settle into my pores or lines at all.
Let me know your favorite illuminating primers, and which one you suggest I try next! Thanks for reading!!
Glowingly yours,
Jess
