When it comes to eyeshadow primer, I much prefer something nude and matte. I have a few clear primers I love, but there is nothing better than a tinted primer to cover up any discoloration (from my perpetual lack of sleep), and to create a nice base for my shadows. I need a primer that won’t crease while simultaneously keeping my lids hydrated enough to stop any flakiness. I never really liked the original UD Primer Potion, but decided to give this one a chance after hearing such great reviews. So far, I really like this primer! It is the more hydrating sister to my go to eye primer MAC’s Paint Pot in Painterly. I love the applicator, it makes adding the perfect amount so easy. Not only does this make my shadows last all day, it makes them show up amazingly well, especially bright colors.
This shade is limited edition, so go grab it now if you want to try it out! There is another, permanent matte shade of the Primer Potion, but it has a very yellow undertone which does not flatter me. I need a pink toned nude, and this is the perfect shade. This matches my skin tone well enough to cover up any veins and discoloration without looking like I put white shadow all over my lids.
This is pretty average for a non-drugstore primer, and I think it is worth the price.
While this may not seem like a lot, I can see this lasting me quite a while, even with daily use. A tiny bit of this can cover my entire lid, and with the precise applicator, I don’t accidentally squeeze out way too much product.
