Colourpop Super Shock Shadow
I love Colourpop shadows, mostly because of the weird, hard to describe texture that makes them so unique. The downside to the formula is I always have some trouble using regular powder shadows with them, but they are so cheap and the range is so wide I don’t have problems finding the right color. To use these, I suggest using a synthetic brush both for applying and blending. Honestly though, the best way to get the most color payoff is to pat them directly onto the lid with your finger. I have quite a few of these shadows, and I am hoping to review all of them over the course of the next few weeks. Here is my first post!
Shade
Porter
“warm burgundy with multi-dimensional gold glitter on top in a metallic finish”
This shade is part of the Kathleen Lights “Where The Night Is” collaboration, which is obviously why I bought it. It is such a stunning, vibrant red, and I have nothing quite like it in my current collection. I love using this on the outer half of my lid paired with a dark brown smoked out liner and a cool toned lip. My favorite eye primer to use with these shadows is the MAC Prep + Prime 24-Hour Extended Eye Base, I find it makes the colors stay vibrant and crease free all day or night!
Cost
$5.00
The best part about Colourpop shadows are the price! For the pigmentation and the quality, you really cannot ask for a better price tag. Colourpop often has coupon codes and deals, so your inexpensive order can usually be reduced down even more!
Product Amount
0.05 oz
This may seem small, but a tiny bit goes a long way with these shadows, and when you do hit pan and run out, it only costs 5 bucks to replace!
Let me know your favorite Colourpop shadows, and which ones I should pick up next!
Glowingly yours,
Jess
