July 2016 Favorites

I can’t believe it’s already the end of another month! Summer is coming to a close and school is about to start back up. I’ve had quite a few favorites this month, and I can’t wait to share them with you guys! Let’s get into it.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation $12.99

I just recently posted a more in depth review about this here, but I will give a quick recap. I have been loving this sheered out with minimal eye make up and a glossy lip. This gives a really beautiful glow, without making me look greasy or sweaty. I do need to set this around my forehead though as I tend to get pretty oily there. I cannot wait to wear this in the winter, when my skin gets very dry and dull, I think it will really perk my looks up!

Glossier Stretch Concealer $18.00

Be prepared for quite a few Glossier products in this post, as I have really fallen even farther in love with the brand. I also posted about this recently, here, so I will keep this brief. This concealer is my new favorite pot concealer, mostly because of its texture. It is thick enough to cover up any blemishes, but creamy enough not to drag and cake up on the skin. I love wearing this alone to even out any redness I might wake up with, it is so quick and easy to use.

Girlactik Beauty Matte Bronzer in Casablanca $26.00

I am all about bronzer in the summer, and this is my current go-to. I love this formula, the powder is so finely milled it feels like silk! This bronzer may look a bit red, but it really gives me a subtle warmth wherever I need it. This bronzer is very pigmented, so a light hand is very much needed.

Wet N Wild Mega Glo Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals $3.99

This is the lighter of the two holiday highlighters from Wet N Wild that everyone has been losing their minds over. I found them at a tiny Rite Aid in the middle of nowhere Virginia, and I am so happy I did, as they are perpetually sold out online and everywhere else. I have been obsessed with this highlight, the color is so perfect! It is dark enough to look glowy even on tanner skin. I have loved using this with a bronzer and minimal eye makeup for a simple, sunny look.

Glossier Haloscope in Quartz $22.00

Another highlight I have been wearing religiously is this one from Glossier. I reviewed it a bit back, so you can check that out here. This is a cream highlight that has an almost glossy look to it. This is unlike any other cream cheek product I have, because the color is so sheer and subtle. I have been using this is conjunction with the Wet N Wild powder highlight for a really brilliant glow!

Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip Waterproof Lip Liner in 1c Nude Beige $19.00

I have had this lip liner for almost two years now, and I have just recently fallen in love with it! I love using this to fill in my entire lips for a really natural, nude look. This lip liner is creamy and doesn’t tug on my lips at all! I also love pairing it with my MAC lipstick in Brave, which I will talk about next.

MAC Satin Finish Lipstick in Brave $17.00

As much as I love matte lips, I much prefer a satin or glossy finish in the summer. This is my go to simple, classic pink lipstick. While this may not last as long as a matte lipstick, it feels so comfortable and looks effortless. Because this is so sheer and natural, I can take it anywhere and apply it throughout the day without a mirror.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in 215 Super Natural $8.49

This is my current favorite lip gloss, and the best part about it is how cheap it is! I always find myself falling in love with expensive, high end lip glosses so I was so happy to find this beauty for under ten bucks! This gives a very subtle hint of pink to the lips, and stays glossy for a long time without needing a new coat. I am planning on buying a few more glosses from this line, and maybe I will do a large review of all of them!

Glossier Coconut Balm Dot Com $12.00

This is the last Glossier product I swear! I am a huge fan of the lip salve Balm Dot Com line, and this is my favorite one by far! The best part about this is the scent! Most coconut scented products smell nice, but not very much like actual coconuts. This balm smells exactly like real coconuts, I cannot stop reapplying it!

Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion $19.00

I have forever been on the hunt for a spot treatment that would make any difference on the occasional cystic pimple I get on my chin. They are under the skin, so most topical treatments don’t make any difference at all, but this product has really surprised me. It really reduced the swelling on my chin during a breakout, and shortened the usual healing time for me. I haven’t tried this on regular breakouts, but I would assume it would help with those as well.

Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo $4.99

I have been trying to wash my hair less often, because my ends have become very dry and brittle. I use a lot of dry shampoo, and when I do wash my hair, I need something to really remove all the build up and residue from hair products without completely stripping my hair. This is a very cheap, very effective shampoo that leaves my scalp feeling so clean and healthy, without drying out my hair at all!

Wholesome Beauty Dry Skin Body Brush $9.95

My final favorite of the month might seem a little odd, but trust me, dry brushing is the best thing for my skin that I’ve found. I read about it on one of my favorite blogs, She’s In The Glow, and have been doing it daily ever since. Basically, at night before you put any lotion on, you brush over your entire body, pulling towards your heart. Not only does it stimulate blood flow, it exfoliates the skin and makes it really soak up the moisturizer. You can buy any body brush from Amazon, they are pretty cheap, and get to brushing! I have a feeling this is really going to save my dry skin in the winter.

Let me know what you have been loving this month! Also, I have been trying out a new picture format, because I felt that the large pictures I include might be overwhelming, so I tried to make them a bit smaller. Please give me some feedback on which version you like better!

Glowingly yours,
