I’ve had my box now for a few days, so I’m sorry it took me all this time to get this post up. Let’s get right into it!
“These cruelty free brushes are extremely soft and gentle enough for all skin types. An antibacterial coating helps keep the brushes clean and fresh. Blending your favorite shadows will be a breeze.”
I actually really like Luxie brushes, they good quality at a relatively low price. I was excited to get this brush pack, because I am a firm believer in the idea that you can never have too many blending brushes. There is a very small tapered brush, a normal size crease brush, and an even denser crease brush. These pick up product nicely, and they aren’t scratchy on the lids. Also, I love the pink!
“S/B Bronzers have a silicone-based formula and are oil free, non-comedogenic, and hypoallergenic. Bronze and contour the complexion with this beautiful shimmer finish”
This is a brand that is most well known for their airbrush system. Most of their products can be used with their airbrushing tool, but this bronzer can also work with a damp sponge or your fingers. I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I do! As you may know I am crazy about the Cover FX liquid bronzer, and I thought I wouldn’t like this product because it has shimmer. Sometimes too much shimmer in a bronzer just looks glittery and chunky in the worst ways. This is shimmery yes, but not so much so that it looks unnatural and ridiculous. On my skin the undertone is perfect, not too red, not too grey. I prefer to use this to warm up my face rather than contour because of the slight shimmer. This blends really nicely into the skin and lasts a very long time.
“A weightless blow-dry finishing and heat protectant cream formulated without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. Naturally fortified with rosehip, argan, and coconut oils, it protects against heat damage up to 425 F, smooths hair and tames frizz, and enhances shine and softness.”
I have heard of this brand but never tried any of their products because I always thought it was garnered more towards curly hair. I have naturally straight hair, and if I use any products meant for curls my hair just ends up frizzy and flat. This product though is meant to protect all hair types from heat. I don’t use heat too often, but I am going to try and use this the next time I want to curl or blow out my hair!
“A long lasting lip lacquer with intense color, shine and a hydrating finish.”
I was looking forward to trying this out because I have always wanted to try out some of the Japonesque make up. This has the consistency of a very thick lip gloss, and it feels a lot like one on the lips. I had a lot of trouble applying this, both because of the applicator and the formula. The wand is a brush, so forget about getting a clean line with it. The formula is so thick and pigmented that it slips all over the lips, and it feathers a lot. The color though is absolutely stunning, and I am going to try and pair this with a lip liner to see if that helps with the feathering.
“These three ‘must have shades’ are perfect for fast and easy eye shadow contouring. Use the trio to brighten and define your eyes and make them appear dramatically bigger.”
I was so surprised when I swatched these shadows, they are really beautiful and pigmented! While the colors are what I usually wear, I almost wanted something a little out of my comfort zone. The two shimmers are very opaque and don’t have a lot of fall out. The matte is actually my favorite of the three shades, because it is a really lovely crease shade. I do like that you can create a simple classic bronze eye with just this palette, which makes it great for traveling!
Box Total: $128.50
All in all, this was a great box, and I feel like I really got my money’s worth. I am most excited about the liquid bronzer and the brushes. Let me know how you liked your box this month!
