Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder
The Stay Matte powder is a drugstore classic, and this is my second one! I get very oily on my forehead, and I am always on the hunt for something to keep me matte without looking powdery. This always gets recommended to me, so last year I finally caved and picked it up. The packaging is awful, most of the time the plastic lid cracks and falls off, leaving your powder exposed to gross bacteria. I don’t like to bring this when I travel for this exact reason. If Rimmel would put this in a compact, they would sell out constantly. I had a little trouble choosing a shade because I prefer translucent powder for my face, but I like the choice I made. They don’t seem to have any shades for darker skin tones though which sucks. I always hate when a face product comes out that only caters to pale white skin (speaking of, I have been thinking of doing a whole post about my favorite products from black owned companies).
Shade
Sandstorm
This shade matches my skin tone perfectly, so it doesn’t look like I am obviously wearing a powder. This doesn’t have any flashback in photos which I always look for in a powder. This keeps me matte for hours at a time, and it never looks caked on.
Price
$4.99
I love how cheap this is, but the packaging makes it seem even cheaper. But I do realize that if this powder did come in better packaging, it would probably cost more.
Product Amount
0.49 oz
You get a good amount of product here, and because it is so cheap you can just repurchase whenever you want!
Let me know your favorite mattifying powder!
