Although I love playing around with make up, the main thing I use it for in my day to day life is to appear more awake than I really am. One of the best tips I ever got was to line my lower waterline with a light eyeliner shade. This not only makes the eyes look bigger, but it also makes them appear brighter. This post is all about the four different liners I use to wake myself up!
Wet N Wild Color Icon Kohl Liner in Calling Your Bluff $0.99
This was the first nude liner I ever bought, and it’s still one of my favorites. This is a super cheap option, and the pencil is very long so it lasts forever. My only issue with this product is it tugs a little because it is a wooden pencil. The color matches my skin tone really nicely, especially when I’m tanner.
Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Honey Dude $5.00
This is my all time favorite eye brightener! The Colourpop liners are so creamy and they last forever on the waterline. The color is a perfectly balanced nude that makes my eyes look wide and awake.
Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Exit $5.00
White is a pretty stark color to wear on the lash line, but nothing makes my eyes look bigger or brighter. I prefer to wear this when I know I’m going to be photographed because it looks really nice in pictures. This is very pigmented though, so use a light hand otherwise it looks kind of odd.
Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil in Blonde Ambition $10.00
I mostly use this shade on my inner corners to brighten that area up. I don’t like using it on my lower lash line because it is shimmering and that can look a little weird. This also looks really nice blended out under the brow bone.
