I finally got my October Play! box and I am so ready to review it!
The theme of this month’s box was The Cool Cut, which I don’t really think applies to everything, but whatever. All in all, I was really happy with this box, a lot of the samples were expensive products, so I really feel I am getting my money’s worth.
All The Lip Long Day
I was so excited to get this in this month’s box! I just recently purchased a full sized version of this and I really love the formula. These are thick enough to not completely dry out my lips, but thin enough to not settle or pill up at all. This color is a lovely pink with a warm, orange undertone.
It’s The Peel Deal
I am always cautious when it comes to skin peels, because sometimes my skin can freak out, but Skin Inc. is a brand I have had my eye on for a while. This peel is pretty expensive, so I’m happy I can try it out before committing to the entire thing.
A Cream Come True
I am always up for trying a new face moisturizer! This feels very lightweight, almost like a serum or essence. It really does feel like water on the skin, but it also hydrates quite well. My makeup sits nicely on top of this, and it does a good job targeting my dry spots without making the other parts of my face oily.
This was probably the thing I was looking forward to the most this month. I have been dying to get my hands on anything by Christophe Robin, the line seems so fabulous and luxurious. This smells amazing, and has a very thick formula so I know it will sink into my hair. The only downside to hair mask samples is how much hair I have! I have way too much hair to get any more than two good uses out of this sample. This mask is very expensive, and that is because of the prickly pear additive, which is supposed to be very hard to get a hold of. I will give an update after I have used this mask a few times!
In The Blinc Of An Eye
I was kind of bummed to see this mascara, only because I already own it. It is a tubing formula, which actually works well at giving my short stubby lashes some volume and length. I’m just not crazy about how this comes off. Because it is a tubing mascara, if I have it on for too long it can flake off and look like my cheek is covered in eyelashes.
Vive La Fragrance
I actually really love the scent of this perfume. It is very delicate and feminine, without being too sweet or old lady-ish. Rarely do I care much about little fragrance samples like this, but I can’t wait to wear this one out tonight! I will report back to see how long it lasts on my skin.
Let me know what you got in your box this month!
