Wet N Wild Fall Collection

Rarely does my CVS carry any seasonal collections, so I was really excited to see some of the Wet N Wild Fall Collection on sale! I picked up two eye shadow trios and a liquid lipstick. Let’s get into a quick review.

Velour Vixen Eyeshadow Trio

This was the trio I had originally wanted after seeing people swatch the red shade in the palette. These three shades are pretty cohesive, alth0ugh you will need to look for a transition shade elsewhere.

This is a pretty nice matte nude shadow. I love shades like this for setting my eyelid primer and highlighting underneath my brow bone.

Crease

This is my favorite shade in the trio, because I have been looking for a good drugstore red. This is intensely pigmented with a satin finish. No chunky glitter or gold flecks, just beautiful crimson!

Eyelid

I was pretty disappointed in this shadow honestly. I was hoping it would be more purple, but it just ended up being a black base with a crap ton of glitter in it.

Plaid To The Bone Eyeshadow Trio

This turned out to be my favorite of the two trios, because all three of the colors are amazing quality! Also, the colors seem a lot more complimentary in this trio.

This is a beautiful all over the lid shade, and would look stunning on a lot of different skin tones and eye colors. I like to pair this with MAC’s Woodwinked to really bring out the green in my eyes.

Rarely do mattes from the drugstore perform well, but this matte navy shade works perfectly. It isn’t chalky or powdery, just very smooth and pigmented.

This is my favorite from the trio, and a good reminder of how well Wet N Wild can pull of a duochrome. This has a brown base with a stunning sky blue shift. When this hits the light, it looks brilliant. I would love for Wet N Wild to come out with single duochrome shadows, because I would buy them all.

Liquid Matte Lipstick in Too Tulip To Quit

I picked up one of the liquid lipsticks because I really wanted to see how the formula was. The color is a really adorable fuchsia pink shade. This applies very opaque and doesn’t bleed or feather. I have heard that some of the other colors from this line don’t perform as well, so I probably won’t be picking any more of them up.

Let me know your favorite drugstore seasonal release!

Glowingly yours,

Jess
