Beauty Breakdown: French Beauty

There are very few things as posh as French skincare, any article on Into The Gloss will back me up on that. In the past few years, French beauty brands have made their way into our drugstores, and I have taken full advantage. I thought I would do a Beauty Breakdown on all of my French beauty products from my favorite brands. Let’s get started!

Vichy Laboratories

Pore Purifying Clay Mask $20.00

As someone with easily congested pores, clay masks are a must have in my collection. Nothing sucks out dirt and oil like this mask, I always use it after a few days of heavy make up use. It isn’t overly drying, but it pulls out any grime from the pores and leaves my face feeling extremely clean.

Double Glow Peel Mask $20.00

This mask is perfect for days when my skin is feeling dull and tired. In only 5 minutes, it makes my skin look like I’ve just had an expensive facial. I have pretty sensitive skin, so I have to be careful when it comes to chemical peels, but this has yet to inflame my skin at all.

La Roche Posay

Cicaplast Baume B5 Soothing Multi Purpose Balm $14.99

This little balm is perfect for cuts and scrapes. I scar very easily, so I always take good care of any cuts or marks as soon as they happen. I put this on everything, from my cuticles to my nose after blowing often from a bad cold. It calms my skin and keeps it protected.

Anthelios 60 Cooling Water-Lotion Sunscreen $35.99

This brand is best known for their sunscreens, and this lives up to the hype. I use this on my shoulders and arms when I walk to class in the dangerous Alabama sun, and it never feels greasy or sticky. It moisturizes my skin while shielding it for hours. It is sweat proof and it smells great!

Lait-Crème Concentrè $16.00-$28.00

This face cream is one of the more popular French products, and for good reason! It is very rich and luxurious, without breaking the bank. This is my favorite winter moisturizer, it sits beautifully under make up. It can be used day or night, and it works for many different skin tones. It never leaves my skin greasy, but it hydrates me perfectly.

Sensibio H2O Make Up Removing Micelle Solution 500ml $16.90

There is no better cleansing water on the market than this. This removes my make up quickly, and it truly feels like water. Most other micelle waters make my skin feel oily, and like I need to wash my face again. This feels like a toner, but much more calming. This never irritates or stings my eyes, and it removes even my toughest waterproof mascaras.

Sensibio Tolerance+ $16.90

This is great for people with very reactive skin. It is meant to normalize the skin and protect it from irritants by changing the skins tolerance. I use this in the spring and summer when my allergies start up and my skin gets testy.

Glycolic Peel $39.00

This is my favorite peel of all time. It does the job while also clearing my skin and leaving it soft and supple. This strips away any dead skin and gets rid of the dullness I get every now and then. This is very gentle, so it is perfect for all skin types.

Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet $39.00

Many swear by this moisturizer, and after receiving many travel sizes, I am starting to see why. It is very hydrating while also feeling fresh and light. It is perfect for the morning before make up because it never feels or look greasy. It also smells lovely!

Resveratrol Lift Eye Lifting Balm $62.00

This eye cream is amazingly hydrating, and it plumps my under eyes up, making it easier to apply concealer. I only have this small sample, but I am really considering saving up my money and buying the full size when this runs out.

Beauty Elixir $18.00

This facial spray is a cult classic, and I cannot recommend it enough. It isn’t a setting spray like I originally thought. It is perfect for spraying before make up to wake up the face, and to refresh the skin throughout the day. It has a crisp, almost minty smell that cools the face. This is perfect for long flights or car rides!

Let me know your French favorites!
