NYX Intense Butter Gloss

When it comes to drugstore lip gloss, NYX has yet to disappoint me! The Intense Butter Glosses are very thick, opaque and pigmented, making them long wearing and comfortable. I have a few shades, but this is a newer addition to my collection, and my new favorite easy lip. Because these are so glossy, they can slip around a bit, so I always suggest putting down a layer of lip liner underneath. I love to pair this with the MAC lip pencil in Hover.

When applied alone, this usually stays vibrant and smooth for a good two hours, which is crazy for a lip gloss. Over a lip liner it fades much more naturally, so I don’t have to constantly reapply.

Shade

Peanut Brittle

I am always intimidated by opaque nude glosses, but this is much more flattering than I expected. This warm nude/tan is perfect for fair to medium skin tones. This looks best (on me) paired with a gold highlight and very minimal, matte eyes with big lashes. This color is also perfect for patting on the center of the lips combined with a darker gloss, this makes the lips look fuller and smoother.

Price

$5.99

Falling in love with a drugstore product is always so satisfying, especially when you get to the price tag. For 6 bucks, these glosses are easy to collect and hoard, and I am always picking up new ones.

The bottom line: if you want thick, opaque, glossy color on the cheap side, give this product a shot!

Glowingly yours,

Jess

That’s what I always thought too! I am usually more partial to pinker tones, but I thought I would just try this out, and I ended up loving it. Let me know how it works out for you!
