I am always down to try a new lip formula from the drugstore, so I couldn’t wait to try out the new Lip Paints from L’Oreal. These are a sort of lipstick/gloss hybrid, and they take the term ‘liquid lipstick’ very literally. The formula is thick and opaque, but not sticky or gross. It feels very comfortable on the lips, and it stays pigmented and glossy for a good hour before I need to reapply. When it does start to fade, the color stays behind leaving a nice stain.
Something that really drew me to these was the packaging, I love paint tube inspired packaging (see Glossier Cloud Paint). The applicator is easy to use, it looks like a squeeze tube but there is a doe foot wand making application a breeze.
I chose the color Nude Star because it seemed the most wearable for me. It is a lovely pinky nude, very similar to my lip color but just a touch more pink. The range comes in a lot of different colors, including some really odd colors, but I really want to try some more out!
Let me know if you’ve tried any of these Lip Paints and what your thoughts were!
