Yesterday morning, my dad, my sisters and I all decided to pile into the car and drive south to see the total solar eclipse! I spent the long car ride watching and reading all about eclipses, and rediscovered the wonders or space. Though I can never hope to understand 98% of it, I have always loved reading and watching things about space. I was inspired by all of the stunning star filled photographs and decided I would put together a list of products that reminded me of the swirling galaxies and vastness of the universe!
One of the first “different” colored highlighter palettes, this pastel beauty gives such an ethereal, unique glow to the skin. With six different colors, you can mix and match to achieve your perfect icy glow. This can also be used as an eyeshadow palette!
I absolutely adore this stick highlighter, mostly because I have yet to see anything else quite like it on the market. Truly holographic, this cream highlight is perfect for those feeling a bit extraterrestrial!
If holographic highlighters are a little too much for you, consider adding a touch of glitter to your liner! This oil slick glitter liner adds such a cool pop of shimmer to an otherwise subtle eye look. Add just a touch on the lash line or apply all over the lid over a black cream base to really make that glitter shine.
If you want some glitter on the eye and you aren’t afraid to embrace the disco ball look, try this liquid shadow from Stila. These shadows are so intense and metallic, so I prefer to pair it with a more muted lip and face. You can pat just a tiny bit of this on the center of the lid for a glittery halo eye, or pack it on all over for an out of this world look!
This lip topper is perfect for adding just a touch of oddity to an otherwise normal make up look. Glitter lip gloss is nothing new, but this Lip Lustre gives an iridescent glow to the lips that is really quite unique. You can wear this alone or over top a matte lipstick to add some shimmer.
These soon-to-be released glitter liquid lipsticks from KVD are so perfect for a space themed make up look! This shade reminds me so much of red/orange planets and stars, and is the perfect pop of color! Because it is both bright and glittery, I would pair this with a simple black wing liner and very minimal face make up. Let the glitter be the star of the show!
Let me know how you’re spending the eclipse!
