October Sephora Play! Box 2017

It’s been a  while since I’ve post about the Sephora box, and that’s because for the longest time it was still being sent to my Alabama address, no matter how many times I changed it online. I was pretty surprised when it showed up today, and even more surprised by all the awesome products inside! I won’t bore you with my mail woes any more, let’s get into a quick review of each product!

Feeling Just Prime

Becca First Light Filter Face Primer $38.00

I have actually tried and loved this primer before, so getting a good sized sample is awesome. With the winter month’s coming up, I am constantly searching for any kind of product to give my skin life. The purple tone in this primer balances out any dullness caused by dry, congested skin. The only downside to this primer? It doesn’t combat the shine I can get in any weather throughout my t-zone.

Got You Covered

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Cover Foundation $43.00

I was so happy to see my all time favorite foundation (in my perfect shade) in this month’s box! This product is so versatile for me, it works well with any primer and any concealer. It has a satin matte finish, so it doesn’t make me look greasy or too flat. This little sample size is perfect for traveling, and I can’t wait to bring it on my next trip.

Knowledge Is Powder

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder $38.00

I have the full sized version of this, and I have loved it for years. A cult classic for good reason, this is one of the only loose powders that never looks dry or caked on under my eyes. I have never been a fan of the whole “baking” trend, but people seem to really love this powder for that as well. This keeps oil at bay without totally mattifying my skin, so it works well in the drier months.

Drop & Glow

Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Moonlight $42.00

These drops from Cover FX are some of my favorite liquid products on the market right now. I own three shades, and luckily this color in Moonlight is a new one to me! A stunningly intense silver, cool toned highlight like this is perfect for winter. These pigments are insanely pigmented, so only a tiny drop is more than enough. Even this tiny sample size should last a good while.

The Best of The Boost

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Skin Booster $41.00

While all the other products I have tried and loved, this one is brand new to me, but I have had my eye on it for a while. Make Up For Ever is one of my favorite brands sold at Sephora, so any time I get to test out a new product of theirs without paying too much I am happy. This is labeled as a serum, but I have mostly seen it be used as a foundation primer. This oil like primer leaves the skin very hydrated and plumped up, leaving a perfectly smooth surface to apply foundation to.

The Gift of Gabrielle Chanel

Gabrielle Chanel Eau de Parfum $105.00

And of course, the little perfume sample that always comes! This scent is from Chanel, so you know it is going to be sophisticated and luxurious. I have already thrown this in my purse to use the next time I am out and about, I will update with a follow up review of everything from the smell to the wear time.

All in all, this was for sure the best box I have gotten from Sephora. Let me know what you got in your box and what your thoughts were!

Glowingly yours,
