Sorry this post is going up so late! This month has been crazy hectic between my sisters being home, the holidays and my birthday! I won’t bore you with anymore small talk, let’s just get right into a review of these products (the upside to waiting so long to post this is I got a chance to use every product multiple times).
“Take your eye game on the go with this quad travel set created with hand-crafted synthetic brushes.”
I always love getting brushes (especially eye ones) in my box because for some reason I hate to spend my money on them. This travel sized quad contains three fluffier shader brushes and one stiff flat eye liner brush. The small size means they fit my eye perfectly, so I have loved using them to pack shimmer shades all over my lid. Do I think these are worth $32.00? Probably not, just because of how small the brushes actually are.
“A quick-drying setting spray that sets makeup for all day wear and imparts instant, all-over illumination. It’s alcohol-free, so it’s not drying to the skin. Perfect for all skin tones and types.”
I have a love/hate relationship with this spray, and I don’t think I am alone in this. I love the subtle glowy finish this gives my face, but if I don’t shake it as hard as I can for a straight minute, I end up with very noticeable glitter all over my face. On the upside, this is the only illuminating spray that I will use on my oily skin. It doesn’t make me look greasy or shiny, just softly blurred and luminous.
“These ultra-soft shadows glide on like a dream. The universally flattering collection of shades makes this palette as lovable as a kitten. It features highly-pigmented shadows in four finishes: holographic, matte, satin and glitter.”
The past few boxes have all contained full sized palettes, and I am all for it! This little shadow palette has the cutest packaging, and a really flattering color scheme. While it isn’t anything revolutionary, the pinky purple duo-chrome in the middle row is my new go-to all over the lid shade. The shadows are all creamy and easy to blend, and they last a good long while on my lids. The shimmer and metallics are what really impressed me, and that gold is stunning!
“An airy matte lipstick that provides full coverage, but feels as light as a cloud. This highly-pigmented lipstick has a matte finish for long-lasting fluffy, pouty lips that stay put.”
While I love this deep berry wine shade, I have so much trouble getting a clean line with this bullet shape. Because it is so blunt and large, I prefer to use this to get a more muted, blotted look (think the Glossier Generation G lipsticks). I have loved patting just a bit of this on my lips under some gloss or balm, it gives my lips a little life without looking too vampy.
“Innovative jelly mask for your lips that hydrate, moisturize and plump your pout with natural ingredients.”
I have seen these comically large lip masks all over Instagram, so I was excited to finally try them out for myself. While I love how moisturized and soft this left my lips, I was definitely annoyed by how long I had to keep it on. Because it is so large and covered in product, it slips off my face unless I basically lie down, so it isn’t as practical as I would like. That being said, I did love how my liquid lipstick applied after using this.
