New Burt’s Bees Blushes

Not too long ago, Burt’s Bees released an entire line of makeup products, expanding on their already stunning lip color selections. The foundations and eyeshadows didn’t really speak to me, but as soon as I saw these blushes I knew I had to have them. I bought two of the three, one shade I knew I would love, and a darker color that I wasn’t too sure about.

After playing around with them for the past month, I can say they are truly amazing! Everything from the packaging to the adorable honeycomb print in the powder is to die for. I ended up falling in love with both of the colors I bought, for different reasons. Let’s get into some swatches of each one!

Bare Peach

This was the shade I knew I would love no matter what. Peachy pink blushes are where I live, and I have been throwing this one on every day before work. This has a warmer tint, so it gives my complexion life without looking too flushed and red. I would describe this as a satin finish, it isn’t matte but there are no noticeable glitters or sparkles in it. These powders are very pigmented, so I have to be sure to use a light hand and build up the color slowly to get my desired intensity.

Toasted Cinnamon

And now for the color a bit outside of my comfort zone: a dark almost bronzed orange brown. This is described as being best for deep and tan skin tones, but something about it just caught my attention. With a light hand, this can be the most beautiful bronzy flush during these pale months. This shade is much more matte on me than Bare Peach, so I can almost use it as a bronzer. Because of the deep undertone, this blush is universally flattering, making it perfect for an artist’s kit or to give as a gift!
