Other 2017 Favorites

As promised, here are the rest of my 2017 favorites! I have included skincare, hair care and perfume products in this post, let me know if there are any more categories you would want to see. Let’s just get right into it because this is going to be another long post!

Glossier Body Hero Body Wash and Lotion Duo $35.00

Of course we have to open with something from Glossier! This body lotion and body wash duo have been the only thing on me for a while now, and I will need to get some more soon. The body wash is oil based so it is super nourishing and leaves my skin so soft when I rinse it off. The lotion is very light but very moisturizing at the same time. both products have a really light lovely neroli scent and the smell lasts all day on my skin!

Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser $45.00

Sunday Riley has always been one of those brands that I quietly covet but never actually bite the bullet and buy because of the price tag. When my skin started to really break out badly this pasty year I decided to finally give this cleanser a try and I am so happy I did. This cleared up my skin so quickly and keeps my face feeling clean and healthy. If you have oily skin like me and suffer from the occasional cystic acne, give this cleanser a try!

Milk Makeup Matcha Toner Stick $26.00

After using a heavy duty cleanser like the Sunday Riley one, I always like to give my skin something calming, and I usually reach for this cooling matcha toner from Milk Make Up. This calms any redness or irritation I may be having, but it never clogs my pores or breaks me out. This is great for all skin types, especially those on the dryer side.

Sunday Riley U.F.O Ultra-Clarifying Facial Oil $40.00-$80.00

I bought this along with the Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser, and they both honestly saved my skin. This oil is super pricey, but I really find it worth the money. Since I have started using this, I have not had one cystic breakout (knock on wood) and I recommend it to everyone! Because this has some pretty strong ingredients I only like to use it two to three times a week at night. If my skin is feeling irritated I add a few drops of hylaronic acid to this and it calms everything while still fighting acne.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution $7.20

For days when my skin isn’t breaking out but just looking really dull and congested, this peeling mask is my go-to. I put on a light layer and leave it on for a little under 10 minutes and once I rinse it off my skin looks noticeably brighter. This product is very strong, so I don’t suggest it for those with very sensitive skin or a lot of redness. The best part about this mask is the price tag of course!

Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich $35.00

This has been my favorite cold weather moisturizer, it really keeps my skin hydrated all day without making me look greasy. If you love the original Priming Moisturizer but need something a touch more hydrating, check this little tub out. When I use this I don’t find myself needing a foundation primer because product applies so smoothly on top of it.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask $20.00

I have always had super dry lips, and I can’t fall asleep at night unless I have some kind of lip balm on. When this was released I knew I had to try it out. This is such a light product but it stays on my lips all night and leaves them feeling very plump and nourished. Sometimes I even wear this underneath very drying liquid lipsticks to really keep my lips from looking flakey and chapped.

Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt $53.00

I have been trying not to wash my hair every day, so I have been using a lot of dry shampoo. The only thing that can really get my hair clean after all that product build up is this luxurious scrub from Christophe Robin. I usually hate splurging on hair products but this stuff is totally worth it I promise!

Kristin Ess Instant Lift Volumizing Mousse 14.00

It was hard for me not to include the entire Kristin Ess Target haircare line in this post, but I picked my favorite item to keep the post short. I have very long, straight hair and because of how heavy it is I rarely have much volume. Most volume products I have tried have left my hair feeling crunchy and dry, but this mousse feels so natural and soft. I add just a bit to my damp roots and I have amazing body all day long!

OUAI Dry Shampoo Foam $28.00

Ouai is one of my favorite hair care lines, they have the coolest products that actually work. A dry shampoo foam seems odd but after you brush this through your hair all your oil is gone and a lovely scent is left behind. I like to use this when I want to pull my hair back but don’t want it looking oily and slick.

R+Co Park Ave Blow Out Balm $28.00

This brand has been on my wish list forever, if only for the cool packaging, and I finally got my hands on one of the products. I don’t use heat on my hair often, and when I do it is usually a blow dryer. I love using this balm when I blow my hair out because it keeps my hair looking smooth and soft. I am terrified of damaging my hair any more than I have, and this balm puts me at ease.

Glossier You $60.00

Of all the products Glossier has released this past year, this perfume is by far my favorite. Something about this scent is so unique and flattering, and I cannot get enough! I have been wearing this almost daily, its perfect for both work and a night out. It lasts forever on my skin and never starts to smell off or overpowering.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist $32.00

The entire Brazilian line from Sol de Janeiro has the most amazing sweet smell, and when they released a mist version I knew I had to douse myself in it. This smells like a beach vacation, and I love spraying my entire room with it when I need a pick me up. It isn’t as long lasting as an actual perfume, but I can still smell it in my hair after a good 6 hours.

Commodity Rain $26.00-$105.00

Commodity is my new favorite fragrance brand, they have such simple scents but they are still unique and interesting. I have a few of their purse sprays, but this one is my current favorite. It smells so fresh and citrusy without smelling like cleaning products. If you love a light scent that isn’t a floral, smell this next time you’re at Sephora!

Let me know what products you have been loving this past year!

Glowingly yours,
