January Allure Beauty Box 2018

Sorry for the lateness of this post, it’s been a pretty crazy few weeks! I have only been getting this box for a few months, and I have to say it is jumping to the top of my subscription list pretty quickly. For the price, you end up with at least one high end brand full size product every box, and this month I received something amazing! Let’s just get right into a quick review of each product.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum $85.00

I nearly dropped the box when I opened it and saw this, an $85 skin care serum in a subscription box?? How lucky am I! I have been using this daily for the past week and I can say without a doubt it is one of the best brightening products I have ever used. It is packed with Vitamin C, the best ingredient for reviving dull skin and reducing the appearance of sun spots and acne scarring. I have very sensitive skin but this has yet to irritate it or cause any redness.

Make Up For Ever Artist Liquid Matte Lip Color in 105 Rosewood $20.00

I have been dying to try out one of these liquid lipsticks from MUFE, and this color is just perfect. I love a mauve lip that has a cooler, more grey undertone, I just find it very mature and flattering. This dries down completely matte but doesn’t feel uncomfortable on the lips, and it lasts for hours without fading or crumbling. The adorable little sample tube is perfect to throw in your purse for touch ups throughout the day.

The One by Frederic Fekkai One and Then Some Dry Texturizing Spray $29.00

I am not a huge user of texturizing sprays, but recently I have been trying them out a bit more and figuring out how best to use them with my hair. For the past week I have been using this spray to add a bit of grip to my hair when I am wearing a ponytail or a bun. If I am being honest, I don’t see anything super special or life changing about this spray, but it gets the job done.

Noxi Doxi Pollution Blocker Face Mist $14.00

Something about this packaging looks kind of cheap to me, but I really try not to let things like that change the way I feel about a product. This facial spray hasn’t really impressed me, maybe I am not using it correctly, or missing the point all together. It doesn’t wear well over or under makeup, so perhaps it is to be considered more of a skin care item, if you have used this before let me know your thoughts please!

Pop Beauty Kajal Pen Eyeliner in Inky Purple $10.00

I have to say, I really find it hard to get excited about pencil eyeliners, I am more partial to gel formulas. The color of this is actually very beautiful though, and I like how it offsets the green in my eyes. It does tug a bit on the lash line, so I suggest applying it slowly and even rolling the pencil around in your hands a bit to warm and soften it up.

Let me know what you got in your box and what your thoughts are!

Glowingly yours,
