I know, two highlighter posts in a row, but I promise this product is worth the double glow spam! Colourpop got their start with their unique cream/powder cheek formula, and just recently they have been bringing their stunning colors to life in a more traditional consistency. As soon as I saw this palette on the website, I knew I had to have it, nude themed cheek products are my bread and butter.
This palette comes with six different shades, and I can find a use for every single one somewhere on my face. These never look powdery or heavy on the cheeks, and they don’t cling to any texture I may be having. These last all day on my skin if I setting my face with a setting spray. Palettes like this are perfect for make up artists just starting out, because it has highlights for every skin tone and most importantly it doesn’t break the bank. Six stunning highlights for 18 bucks is pretty impressive. Let’s just get right into some swatches and a review of each shade!
Glad You Came
This is my favorite shade in the palette, it just looks so intense and bright on my fair/light skin. This is my new go-to brow bone and inner corner highlight as well, it catches the light so beautifully. This shade pulls very neutral on me despite it’s description, so it pairs nicely with every eye look.
On The Loose
This shade reminds me a lot of the super popular Champagne Pop highlight from Becca. It looks much darker in the pan than it does on the skin, so don’t be scared off. I love pairing this with a warm bronzer, bronze eyes and a neutral lip.
“silvery cream pearl”
This highlight pulls very pink on me, so it can be a little harder to pull off. I use a very light hand so that the silver comes through and I can pair it with a cooler toned eye look.
“soft rosey taupe with highlights of gold and silver”
Some people have been saying they don’t like this shade because it is so cool toned, but I love it! I find it really unique, the almost purple shift is really eye catching. I love using this with minimal make up because it sort of demands attention, and I also like adding a bit of this to the center of my lids.
“light peach with highlights of gold and pink”
This shade is a bit too dark for me, but during the summer when I have a bit of a tan it should be perfect! Currently I like using this lightly dusted all over my lid for a really subtle golden eye look.
“amber with gold highlights”
This shade is definitely too dark for me, but I love the color just the same. I have been using this paired with the previous color to deepen up my warm eye looks with some shimmer.
