I love the Just Arrived section of every beauty website, trying out brand new make up is my favorite part of the beauty world! There have been a lot of amazing releases lately as summer starts to pick up, so I wanted to make a quick wish list of things I have my eye on. Let’s get into it.
Hourglass knows how to do a face powder that looks like skin, so their first loose powder should be no exception. This has been described as very smooth and finely milled, perfect for blurring out fine lines and imperfections while setting your make up.
“Aquatic Accord, Coriander, Red Seaweed Essence”
I love the REPLICA line, the scents are always unique and captivating. This is their newest scent, and it just screams summer to me. Everything about it feels light and airy, from the name, to the blue color and the seaweed essence notes!
I love layering setting sprays, usually starting with an oil control formula or a fixing spray, but I always like to end with something that seals in my make up. I have been using the Skindinavia spray forever and I love it, but I really like a lot of the formulations from Cover FX. I would be interested to see how this compares with the Skindinavia as far as longevity goes.
I have been loving more subtle, glowy base products lately, the heavier coverage stuff just feels too thick on my skin in the heat. This product is meant to even out the skin while still looking natural and bare faced. I also love the large doe foot applicator!
I have never really been too interested in anything but foundations from Armani, but something about this product got me. The packaging is stunning (I will never get over millennial pink) and the product seems like a perfect mix of liquid bronzer and highlight.
I am always drawn to Herbivore’s simplistic packaging, and a bright pink cream pairs perfectly with their overall brand style. Any face cream that has ‘cloud’ in it’s name draws me in, I love creams that leave my skin plump and hydrated.
This product reminds me of spraying Sun-In in my hair at summer camp and sitting at the pool waiting patiently for my hair to bleach. My hair naturally lightens a bit in the sun, and I have been wanting to go blonder recently. A product like this is the grown up version of putting lemon juice in your locks before the beach.
People have been raving about this new brand and it’s first product. It is meant to rejuvenate skin, adding hydration and removing dullness and texture. It has a bunch of anti-inflammatory ingredients in it, so it is perfect for reducing the inevitable redness on my cheeks after a day in the sun.
Summer and glowy skin are meant to be together, and this new skin booster from Kiehl’s is perfect for keeping the skin healthy and hydrated. This has a subtle sheen to it, so it can be worn under foundation as a moisturizer/primer.
I am really interested in self tanning waters, and I have been hearing a lot about this newer brand. I am trying very hard to keep my sunscreen on, so any color I get this summer has to come from a bottle. It would seem that products like this with a water like consistency are perfect for self tanning rookies like me.
I love cushion foundations, and this one combines all the benefits of a great skin care brand with the safety of sunscreen. While I never like to rely on my foundation/primer to give me sun protection, it never hurts to have another layer of SPF working for me!
