After falling deeply in love with Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask, I knew I needed to try the newest addition to their night cream line. While the Watermelon mask boasted an exfoliating glow, this creamy green mask is mainly meant to hydrate and soothe even the driest skin. I have combination skin, so I don’t usually like to pile on the heavy moisturizers, but these winter months and corresponding dry heated air constantly pumping into my work place has really confused my skin. I had been noticing dry spots around my nose and chin, and my make up just wasn’t sitting right like it used to. I decided to ignore my own routine and add something heavy duty to my nightly rotation.
I saw a noticeable difference in my skin after only one night of using this sleeping mask! My dull, almost patchily dry skin was back to being smooth and even, looking even more fresh and plump than usual. My make up applied evenly and didn’t cling to any of my problem areas.
So there are four main ingredients in this sleeping cream that I can truly see working: avocado (for hydration), Manuka honey (for soothing any inflammation), polyhydroxy acid (for a really gentle exfoliation), and Kaolin clay (for decongesting clogged pores). Obviously the main claim to fame is just how deeply moisturizing this sleeping mask is, but the slight exfoliation is not an aspect to be overlooked.
If you have moderately to extremely dry skin, run to Sephora and pick this up, because my skin has really never felt so moisturized, and the hydration lasts all through the next day so no need to keep applying your heavy day moisturizer as well!
