When MUR released their Tarte Shape Tape dupe last year I absolutely fell in love with the formula and shades. It has been my go-to under eye concealer ever since, and when I saw that they were releasing a hydrating version I knew I had to have it. Some days my under eyes are extra dry, and most concealers look terrible and patchy right away. As soon as I had this concealer in my hands I ran to put it on under my eyes to see just how hydrating it really was, and I was not disappointed.
Usually when I see that a concealer is hydrating, I assume that translates to sheer coverage, but this has more coverage than I was expecting. Of course it isn’t as opaque as a matte concealer, but I love how emollient and light it feels on the skin. This also lasts a lot longer on my skin than most thin concealers, and when it does start to fade it looks natural, not patchy. I definitely have to set this with a powder though if I want it to blend well with my foundation and last all day.
The only downside to this concealer? It doesn’t do much when it comes to covering a bad pimple, it is just a bit too slippery to get any kind of intense spot coverage.
