Face Favorites For: Work

Every person has a different set of rules to adhere to when it comes to finding an appropriate work look, I personally always prefer and stick to a neutral polished look. I work with children though, so I don’t have much time for touch ups and I need to look professional while still remaining approachable. I have made a list of some of my most used day to day work products, let’s get into it!

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer $32.00

I love this primer because it really is a a great do-it-all product. It has enough grip to hold my foundation in place for hours, but it is light enough so I don’t feel like my face is plastered on. I have yet to find a foundation that doesn’t blend beautifully on top of this, and it keeps a nice satin finish all day.

Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer $29.50

As much as I would love to live in tinted moisturizer, I need a but more coverage for the work day. This foundation is high coverage but never looks caked on, especially when applied with a damp Beauty Blender. This foundation lasts forever on my combination skin, and keeps my shininess at bay. This is also one of my favorite foundations to wear under cream cheek products, it never moves around once I apply it.

Make Up Revolution Conceal + Hydrate Radiance Concealer $10.00

Every now and then during the work week I will accidentally skip my nightly eye cream, or a few hours of sleep all together, and this concealer always saves me the next day. It is high coverage but super creamy and hydrating, so no matter how dry my under eyes are, it never looks flakey or gross.

Face Powder

Glossier Wowder Mattifying Powder $22.00

This is my go-to mattifying powder, because it really does last all day long, especially on my forehead. After applying my foundation and concealer, I use a large fluffy brush to dust this all over my face, it never clings to any dry patches I may have. Because this is so finely milled, it blends nicely with whatever cheek products I add on top of it. I love how natural this looks, I can never see it just sitting on top of my skin.

Burt’s Bees Toasted Cinnamon Blush $9.99

I know I have mentioned this blush a million times before, but it really is worth all the talk. Because it is so warm, I can sometimes skip my bronzer all together and just tap this all over my cheek bones for a super bronzed look. It is a matte based blush with just the tiniest satin touch, which gives the face so much dimension. You can see swatches and much more in depth review of this blush here.

Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer in Inda Sun $30.00

This bronzer is my ideal mix of warm and cool undertones, and the matte finish makes it perfect for work. I have never been a huge bronzer girl, so many end up looking crazy and muddy on me, but this is so easy to blend out I always reach for it. For swatches and a more in depth review, click here.

Hourglass Vanish Highlighting Stick in Champagne Flash $42.00

This highlight is usually seen as a very intense and glam product, but I have found that just the smallest touch of it adds glow to my face that truly lasts all day long. When I want it to look sheer, I apply a bit to the back of my hand and warm it up with my fingers before dabbing it lightly on just the tops of my cheekbones. Click here for swatches!

Setting Spray

Morphe Continuous Setting Mist $16.00

Last but not least, the setting spray! This spray is my favorite for work because it goes on so light and evenly, and it melts all of my cheek products into the skin for a beautiful natural look. This keeps my face looking fresh for hours, and feels so luxurious and cooling for such a great price!

Glowingly yours,
